Each coaster is printed with a richly colored sea turtle that won't fade, scratch, or peel with regular use. Backing varies by material: tempered glass has silicone feet, slate rock has rubber or black cork feet, and sandstone has a cork backing, keeping the coaster planted instead of sliding around under a sweating glass; bamboo wood and leather come unbacked. Every surface wipes clean in seconds. The finished look reads coastal without tipping into kitschy.
